SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider place produced for intervention activities a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who sassa status stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
